Counselling is a way of enabling choice or change by reducing confusion. My purpose is to sit alongside you, allowing YOU to find your own way in making sense of your world. Whilst counselling can assist in making sense of the past in the way that it relates to your present life, it also encompasses the future whereby you can discover your dreams and potentials and put these into action.
I am primarily a person-centred and self-compassion focused therapist whereby the main emphasis is on a trusting, caring relationship between myself and my clients. Being trained in an eclectic approach, however, also enables me to draw from a number of different counselling modalities to assist the process if necessary.
My passions in life are raising my two sons, being in nature, and practicing anything and everything that brings balance and joy into my life. I am a recoveree from a 10 year long journey with chronic illness and one of my greatest achievements has been co-creating the Towards Wellness program, designed specifically for people in NZ suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and its many co-existing conditions.
My life experiences to date have enabled me to currently offer a safe haven and sanctuary for people to come and receive the support they need to flourish and move forward in their lives in a positive and fulfilling way.
